Campaign Research for NFL Team, San Fransisco 49ers (Unpublished, Academic Assignment)
This primary and secondary campaign research was completed for an advanced communications research course on public relations campaigns. In this course, my group and I first performed secondary research to understand the relevant background and audiences of this NFL team. My group then performed primary research the attitudes and behaviors of NFL viewers in relation to the Colin Kaepernick National Anthem scenario. The primary research was collected from a survey sent out to students (after receiving IRB approval), and the results were analyzed using SPSS to generate statistics and trends.

The social media calendar involved the planned promotion of holiday specials, employee spotlights, a food drive, and product/service information to be posted. on Instagram and/or Facebook. The platform evaluation provided evidence of our team's impact on the company's platforms after four months of content creation.

The two sheets below are media lists for Restorative Massage Therapy and Earth Day Every Day (Bluestone Communications clients). My team and I researched local/regional journalists and reporters to whom we could pitch our news releases and events. Researching the journalists/reporters for their niches and audiences allowed us to tailor our pitches to the correct individuals/outlets as well as keep track of who we had pitched.

Undergraduate Research Project for Honors College
For my 3-semester capstone course in Communications and Honors Interdisciplinary Studies, I used Mark P. Orbe's Co-Cultural Theory of Communication to explore how certain co-cultures (often marginalized/minority cultures) can have dominant culture qualities in some sectors of society and non-dominant qualities in others. My specific research question explored how the Catalan co-culture in Catalonia, Spain has gained dominant status in the education system since the end of the Spanish Civil War, but it still has non-dominant status in other social sectors of society in Catalonia. Overall, this capstone involved intensive historical and cultural research, and it required significant mindfulness for the organization and thoroughness of my analysis.
